SE80/185T (24V)

80 kgf twin-prop tunnel bow/stern thruster, 24 V (4.4 kW / 5 hp). Draws ~280 A under load at 21 V nominal; Sleipner specifies a 250 A ANL main fuse, sized to the 2–3 min intermittent (S2) duty cycle rather than to the running current. Daily energy is negligible despite the high peak.

The Crimp engine applies its ordinary continuous-load headroom, voltage-drop budget, terminal clamp, and standard fuse ladder. The 3 m one-way run is a stated reference, not a universal installation prescription.

03 — Supporting parts

What belongs around it.

  • 6 m total of 120 mm² (4/0 AWG) marine cable
  • Four 120 mm² cable lugs matched to the equipment studs
  • 350 A fuse and holder on the positive run
  • Heat-shrink, strain relief, and terminal boots sized to the cable
