Volvo Penta MD17C — 36 HP / 26.5 kW @ 2400 RPM, 3-cyl 1.4 L. 1.4 kW Bosch starter cranks at ~150 A (~300 A inrush); 35–55 A Bosch alternator standard (frequently retrofitted). Very common in 30–35 ft Swedish cruisers (Hallberg-Rassy, Najad, Maxi).

Sized against ABYC E-11 — the US reference, and what Transport Canada accepts as an alternative to TP 1332 for pleasure craft under 24 m. The Crimp engine applies its ordinary continuous-load headroom, voltage-drop budget, terminal clamp, and standard fuse ladder. The 9.8 ft one-way run is a stated reference, not a universal installation prescription.
