Match the Essentials model
This entry is the 12460A-H Essential Series: a 12.8 V, 460 Ah LiFePO4 house battery with 5,888 Wh nominal energy, internal BMS, heating and Bluetooth. Verify the model and ratings on the installed unit. The manufacturer product page and V02 documents identify this model separately from the B12460, which has different current limits. This battery is not cranking rated.
Keep continuous and peak ratings separate
The V02 specification gives 200 A continuous charge and discharge, with 138 A recommended charging and discharge. Crimp uses the 200 A continuous limits. The 400 A peak for up to ten seconds is temporary and does not increase the continuous budget.
Set the charger for this battery
The manual's charging section, pages 20–22 specifies 14.2–14.4 V bulk/absorption and 14.6 V maximum. Disable float if possible, or use 13.3–13.6 V. Use the model's heating and temperature instructions before charging in cold conditions; the presence of a heater does not permit charging cold cells without its protection.
Connect and protect the bank
The V02 technical datasheet, pages 3–4 identifies M8 female terminals, 8–12 Nm terminal torque, and a maximum 4S4P arrangement. Follow the supplied hardware and installed revision's instructions. Use matching batteries and follow the manual's commissioning sequence before connecting a bank.
Install a suitably rated main fuse or DC breaker close to battery positive. The internal BMS and its 200 A rating do not select an external fuse; protection must suit the actual cable, equipment, bank and available fault current. See connection guidance, pages 13–17.
