Fixed 14.2 V lithium controller requires compatible 4S BMS. Max 10.5 A, 34 V cold PV Voc; terminals accept no more than 10 AWG/about 5 mm². Internal 20 A fuse is NOT an external battery-cable fuse specification. Leave automatic external cable/fuse choice subject to actual terminal area and battery protection review. Run-length and manufacturer assumptions
The editable example uses 3.048 m (10 ft) runs unless a shorter run is stated. Metric overviews round these to 3 m. Adapt the parts and lengths to your installation before choosing cable and protection.

Supporting parts
- 2 m total of 1.5 mm² (16 AWG) marine cable
- Terminations for 1.5 mm² cable, matched to the equipment's screw terminals, leads or studs
- 15 A fuse and holder on the positive run
- Heat-shrink, strain relief and terminal boots sized to the cable
Check stud sizes, fuse type, run length and how warm the space gets against the gear you actually have before you order.

Match the fixed lithium profile
GV-10-Li-14.2V is the 14.2 V lithium version, intended for a compatible four-cell LiFePO4 battery. It differs from the lead-acid GV-10 and its charging controls. The battery needs balancing and a BMS that disconnects charging outside its permitted voltage, current and temperature limits. The controller's voltage regulation does not replace those battery protections. See battery and terminal requirements, PDF p. 3.
Size the panel by voltage and current
The manual recommends up to 140 W of PV, with 10.5 A maximum panel short-circuit current and 10.5 A charging output. Absolute PV open-circuit voltage is 34 V; the recommended STC limit is 27 V to leave cold-weather headroom. Check the module's actual temperature coefficient instead of relying on its nominal “12 V” description. See electrical specifications, PDF p. 7.
Four wires and separate loads
PV positive/negative connect to the panel pair; battery positive/negative to the output pair. Panel and battery negatives are internally common. The terminals accept up to 10 AWG, approximately 5 mm², with 0.79 Nm tightening torque. Connect loads to a separately protected battery distribution circuit: GV-10 has no load output or low-voltage load disconnect. Do not short the PV terminals while connected.
Protection and first start
The internal 20 A ATO fuse is a service item; it is not a prescribed external battery-cable fuse. Add battery-end protection chosen for the actual wire and installation. The manufacturer recommends connecting the panel first, then the battery, while permitting the reverse order. Verify the LED indication and measured battery charging voltage against the lithium profile, and check that the battery BMS can stop charging. See connection sequence, PDF p. 5.
