Which link bar is covered?

The 779-LB-1-B, marked LB-1, is the short Pro Installer link bar. BEP's 2024 catalog lists 650 A maximum, 31–34.7 mm stud centres, compatibility with 8 mm and 10 mm studs, and 56 × 25 mm overall dimensions. It is tin-plated copper for joining supported Pro Installer components. The family also contains longer and Z-shaped bars with different ratings.

The manufacturer catalog is available from Navico. A manufacturer-authored 2024 PDF was downloaded from a distributor mirror and checked against those official pages; it is a catalog, not a separate installation manual for the LB-1.

How do the two ends connect?

Use the selection guide and layout diagrams on printed pages 37–39 to confirm the two components, mounting heights and connection orientation. Both slotted ends form one conductor. They do not isolate circuits or turn a positive rail into a negative rail. Do not force incompatible spacing or bend the bar to fit another product family.

The catalog's 650 A figure is not a current rating for the attached switch, fuse holder, studs or cable. The complete path is limited by its lowest-rated part. Use each connected component's torque and hardware instructions; the link-bar table does not publish a universal nut torque.

What matters in a larger cluster?

BEP's high-load diagrams place the supply centrally and connect the highest loads closest to it, reducing current carried along the linking bars. Count current through each segment rather than adding unrelated stud ratings. The catalog discusses doubled bars, but this single-bar canvas item does not verify a parallel arrangement.

What should be checked before power-up?

Confirm the correct LB marking, flat contact seating, suitable insulation covers and clearance from opposite polarity or grounded metal. Protect the source and outgoing conductors according to their circuits: this bar provides no overload interruption. Inspect the assembled joints and cable support again after the initial loaded check.
