Blue Sea PowerBar 600A 2104 wiring diagram
Blue Sea 2104 PowerBar: one common tin-plated copper bus, rated 600 A DC and 48 V DC maximum. Four 3/8-inch-16 studs; use a separate bar for each polarity. The four small #8-32 screw connections are not modeled. The 600 A rating is shared by the bar, not available independently at every stud. No built-in fuses; optional 2708 cover.

Blue Sea 2104: 600 A DC continuous, 48 V DC maximum. One common bar for a single polarity; use a separate bar for the other rail. The example load is an editable planning assumption, not the bus rating. Supply and branch protection must suit the actual cables. Extra schematic taps do not add physical studs or current capacity. Which Blue Sea PowerBar 2104 is this?
This is the 2104 PowerBar, with four 3/8-inch-16 studs on one tin-plated copper conductor. Blue Sea specifies 600 A continuous DC and 48 V DC maximum on its 2104 product page. The DC rating is for the common bar, not four independent outputs of that capacity.
How is the Blue Sea PowerBar 2104 wired?
Terminals 1–4 represent the four large studs, all electrically common. Use the bar for one polarity and a separate bar for the other polarity. The neutral terminal colour means either DC rail, not an isolated terminal or an AC neutral assignment.
The Rev 2 drawing also shows four #8-32 screws. These small-wire connections are omitted from the Crimp symbol; do not treat them as additional high-current studs. No individual screw current rating was found in the inspected manufacturer sources.
What should I bear in mind with the Blue Sea PowerBar 2104?
- The manufacturer specifications distinguish 140 in-lb / 15.82 N·m stud torque from 15 in-lb / 1.69 N·m screw torque.
- The bar contains no fuses. Select supply and branch protection for the actual conductors and circuit; the bus rating is not a fuse recommendation or load demand.
- Cover 2708 is an optional accessory. A cover does not provide overcurrent protection.
- Additional schematic taps do not add physical studs or increase the bar's rating. Reconcile cable terminations with the real hardware before installation.
- This entry models DC use. The separately published AC rating does not make the example an AC installation design. No standalone installation manual was linked on the inspected product page; use the manufacturer drawing and current specifications.
What do owners and installers say about the Blue Sea PowerBar 2104?
No independently verified owner experiences are included here. Blue Sea's negative tie-point application note describes using the 2104 for engine and battery-bank negative connections, distinguishing its large studs from its small-wire screws. This is manufacturer guidance, not an owner review; its historical standards quotation is not a current compliance check.
What belongs around the Blue Sea PowerBar 2104?
Use the wire-size calculator for the actual circuit and a main battery switch where the system requires isolation. The bar remains a common conductor; neither cable sizing nor a switch provides branch overcurrent protection by itself.
