Which mover and rating are represented?

This is the current REICH easydriver basic twin-motor kit. The technical data, page 25, specify 12 V, a minimum recommended 50 Ah battery, a 20–120 A current range, and a maximum caravan mass of 1,800 kg subject to the stated slope limits. The maximum current is not a documented continuous draw or startup transient. No single energy-estimation current is therefore assigned.

How are the controller and motors connected?

The wiring diagram, page 24, has separate battery and left/right motor terminals. Its diagrams change motor polarity according to whether the mover is fitted ahead of or behind the axle. Follow the matching drawing and identify left and right in the manufacturer's travel orientation. Never power the motors directly from the battery or join controller outputs together. The catalog's two supply poles represent the input of the complete installed kit, not individual motor connections.

Why is a generic fuse-and-wire example insufficient?

The supplied kit includes 150 A protection, 10 mm² battery cables and 6 mm² motor cables. Those values belong to the manufacturer's specific short harness, terminals and operating regime. They do not establish that any user-installed 10 mm² cable can safely use a 150 A fuse under a generic continuous-load table. Retain the specified kit layout, isolation and protection, and obtain REICH approval for harness alterations. This page remains a system overview.

What mechanical and duty limits apply?

Correct roller pressure, tyre condition, clearances and axle-side placement are as important as supply voltage. The manual's slope limits distinguish 15% at 1,800 kg from 28% at 1,200 kg; they are not an all-terrain towing rating. Keep people clear of the moving caravan and stop if control or traction becomes uncertain.

What should commissioning verify?

Inspect the mounting and cable routing with the battery isolated, then follow the pairing and functional-test sequence. Check each movement direction against the handset before relying on the mover near an obstacle. Test the isolator, confirm the rollers fully disengage for towing, and leave the caravan secured by its normal brake and chocks after use. Troubleshoot voltage at the controller and mechanical drag before changing protection.

Build it out

Connect it to the rest of your system.

Add easydriver basic to your diagram, then connect your batteries, chargers and loads. Crimp calculates cable sizes and checks the connections as you draw.

Every cable you draw there is sized against ABYC E-11, from the same tables as the reference on this page.

Supporting parts

  1. A lug or terminal to match each post on the part
  2. Strain relief and boots so nothing chafes or shorts
  3. Cable and fuses sized once the whole system is drawn

Check stud sizes, fuse type, run length and how warm the space gets against the gear you actually have before you order.

Manufacturer specifications describe the equipment. Crimp calculates cable results from the circuit and assumptions you enter.

What the catalog says

Manufacturer, model, ratings and which terminal does what come from the catalog. A newer revision, or the nameplate on the unit in your hand, can say something different — when it does, the nameplate wins.

ABYC E-11

What Crimp worked out

Sized against ABYC E-11. Boats built to UK or EU rules answer to ISO 13297 — check these figures against it before you build. The run length and the current above are what drive the result. Crimp doesn't know how warm your space gets; draw the cable inside an engine-bay zone on the canvas and it sizes for the heat.
