What does the ME-ARC50 do?
The ME-ARC50 Advanced Remote Control displays inverter/charger status, faults and settings, and independently enables the inverter and charger. Its 16 × 2 character LCD, buttons and rotary selector control compatible Magnum equipment. The “50” identifies the included 50 ft / 15.24 m cable; it is not a 50 A power rating.
This entry covers the original ME-ARC50 described in the Rev F manual, printed page 1. The current ME-ARC50-L is a separate product revision. Match the installed remote and inverter firmware before relying on a particular menu or feature.
Is the connection RJ45 Ethernet?
No. Manual §2.2, printed page 3, specifies a round four-conductor twisted-pair telephone-style cable with 6P4C connectors, commonly described by Magnum as RJ11. The conductor order is reversed when the connector tabs face the same direction. Use the supplied cable or an exact manufacturer-compatible replacement; an Ethernet patch cable or arbitrary telephone lead is not an interchangeable substitute. The manual permits a total extension to 200 ft / 60.96 m.
For the MSH3012RV and MSH3012RV-L, connect to the inverter's green NETWORK RJ11 port. This model-specific instruction in MSH-RV §3.13 takes precedence over the generic blue REMOTE-port illustration in the remote manual. Follow the inverter's RV-C/remote-control restrictions.
Does the remote need a separate battery feed?
The inverter supplies all remote power through the remote cable (ME-ARC §2.5, printed page 7). The symbol therefore has one signal connector and no invented battery positive or negative terminals. It does not add a separately estimated load to the energy budget. Never use communication wiring as a substitute for the inverter's battery-negative connection.
The connection example shows the supplied remote cable and compatible inverter. It does not design the inverter's battery, AC or grounding circuits. Remote commands, cable power, firmware compatibility and the physical connector pinout are not simulated or electrically validated by Crimp.
Does it include battery state-of-charge monitoring or an LFP preset?
Whole-bank current and state-of-charge monitoring require the separate ME-BMK battery monitor and shunt. Generator automation likewise requires the appropriate additional equipment. The remote itself is not a shunt, charger or power-distribution device.
For the MSH3012RV-L, the manufacturer's model page reserves the dedicated LFP battery preset for compatible ME-RC / ME-RVC control. An ME-ARC setup needs verified firmware and battery-manufacturer-approved custom charging settings. Confirm the actual battery's charge, temperature and BMS requirements before commissioning.

Catalog specification
Magnum Energy ME-ARC50 Advanced Remote Control, powered through its supplied four-conductor RJ11 cable. On the MSH3012RV and MSH3012RV-L, use the green NETWORK port; follow the inverter manual for other compatible Magnum models. This is not Ethernet or a battery-power input. Crimp represents the signal connection, not remote commands or battery-profile programming. Verify firmware and battery compatibility.
