Run-length and manufacturer assumptions

The editable example uses 3.048 m (10 ft) runs unless a shorter run is stated. Metric overviews round these to 3 m. Adapt the parts and lengths to your installation before choosing cable and protection.

Which HS2000 is covered?

This entry represents the 12 V LPG HS2000 with the April 2018-onward wiring arrangement. Propex's product specification lists 1.4 A operating current and 0.04 A standby. The 2 kW figure describes delivered heat, so it must not become a 2,000 W electrical load. Earlier controller and loom versions require their matching instructions.

Where do the wires go?

The wiring spread, PDF page 3, identifies the two-core power cable at CN24: red positive and black negative. The thermostat uses its supplied six-core loom at CN26/CN27. The catalog's thermostat terminal is a connector reminder, not a pin that accepts battery positive. Keep the original plugs and follow the diagram when routing the control cable.

What protection and supply are needed?

Retain the supplied 5 A fuse. The electrical instructions, PDF page 4, require 10–15 V at the heater. Measure that voltage during operation, including losses in both supply conductors. The manual does not give a universal replacement cable size or independent connector current rating; retain the supplied loom and obtain the appropriate extension specification when moving the supply farther away.

What must remain powered during shutdown?

Stop heating at the thermostat and allow the approximately three-minute fan purge to finish. A master switch that immediately removes power prevents that purge. Standby consumption is separate from heating duty; isolate for storage only after shutdown has completed.

How is the installation commissioned?

Use the manual's combustion-air, exhaust and warm-air routing together. Keep the specified 25 mm clearance, secure the flue system, and use the appropriate marine flue terminal for a boat installation. Have the gas installation checked by a competent installer, then confirm ignition, warm-air delivery, voltage at the heater and a complete shutdown purge. A successful electrical test alone does not verify the gas or exhaust installation.
